Introduction
Indirect type X-ray detector uses the scintillator and the photo-diode(CCD or CMOS sensor) for conversion of the X-ray into the light and for taking images espectively. But the light scatters and goes extinct during it passes through the scintillator and reaches to the CCD or CMOS sensor. As a result, it is inevitable to get blurred image.
In the mean time, XID C15DP, direct type detector, converts X-rays into electronic signals directly without conversion process of light. Because X-ray is not converted into light, it provides much sharper images than indirect type detector.
XID C15DP is designed to compact for easy installation. It provides Gigabit Ethernet port on the detector for easy configuration. Instead of Gigabit Ethernet, camera link or optical interface can be provided according to requirements of users.

Poongsan produces ammunition of various types and calibers, including anti-aircraft shells, mortar shells, howitzer shells, tank shells, recoilless rifle shells, naval artillery shells, and aviation shells.
In particular, in recent years, new types of ammunition have been developed, such as anti-tank ammunition with improved penetration, range extender ammunition with dramatically extended range, Goal Keeper ammunition used in Korean destroyers, and dual-purpose ammunition that can suppress tanks and multiple troops at the same time. Starting from forged preforms from ANDRITZ Schuler, further shaping is carried out using WF Maschinenbau‘s flow forming and hot spinning processes. STIM300 is a cost-effective ITAR free solution for systems that only had FOGs as an alternative when reaching for the performance level of that STIM300 can offer.
Each axis is factory calibrated for bias, sensitivity and compensated for temperature effects to provide high-accuracy measurements. The unit runs off a single +5V supply and communicates via a RS422 interface. The use of a 32-bit RISC ARM microcontroller provides flexibility in the configuration, like choice of output unit, sampling frequency, LP filter -3dB frequency and RS422 bit-rate and protocol parameters. For more advanced users, STIM277H may be put in Service Mode. In this mode all the configuration parameters can be temporarily or permanently changed by overwriting the current settings in the flash memory. Service Mode also provides the ability to perform single measurements, perform diagnostics and obtain a higher detail in the status byte.

Thermal Management for Military VehiclesFor tactical vehicles, Webasto will showcase a range of heating and cooling solutions developed for use in demanding environmental conditions. These include air and coolant heaters as well as integrated military-grade air conditioning systems designed to regulate temperatures in cabins, mission compartments, critical vehicle components, and mobile infrastructure.
The Air Top Evo 40/55 air heater series enables fast and efficient heating of driver cabins, crew compartments, and cargo areas. The units are designed for low power consumption and reduced noise emissions and feature automatic altitude adjustment for operation in different deployment regions. Optional integrated RFI filters support use in electronically sensitive environments. For applications with higher heating requirements, two Air Top Evo units can be combined, while optional metal or carbon housings provide additional protection against demanding environmental influences.
For larger vehicles and applications with increased heating demand, Webasto offers coolant-based heating solutions such as the Thermo Pro 90 HDD. The unit provides heating output of up to 9.1 kilowatts (kW) and is engineered for operation in extreme climatic conditions. Features such as Arctic Start support reliable functionality even at very low ambient temperatures.
The compact Thermo Top Pro 50 coolant heater complements the portfolio for lighter commercial and mission vehicles. Delivering up to 5 kW of heating output, the unit can be controlled via analog signal or LIN bus, while the HDSCS connector supports straightforward and robust vehicle integration. Both coolant heaters enable engine-independent preheating of vehicles, helping ensure operational readiness even in very low temperatures.
In addition, Webasto will present roof-integrated air conditioning systems for vehicles. The systems are individually adapted to the respective vehicle platform and installed in the upper cabin area. This design supports efficient cooling while maintaining a low electromagnetic signature.
Climate Control and Air Management for SheltersIn addition to vehicle solutions, Webasto will also present systems for climate control and air treatment in mobile and stationary shelters. These systems are used in communications, command, and technical workspaces where stable environmental conditions are required for personnel and electronic systems.
The UKG12 air conditioning unit is externally mounted and provides cooling and heating for enclosed spaces. Temperature regulation is automated, while the robust housing design supports reliable operation under demanding conditions.
With cooling capacity of up to 12 kW and heating capacity of up to 7 kW, the system is suitable for a variety of deployment scenarios. Multiple units can be centrally controlled and may optionally be integrated into higher-level systems or operated remotely.
The systems can also be combined with air filtration solutions to help manage air quality in enclosed workspaces. Many of the showcased solutions comply with international military standards and are designed for use in NATO-compatible system architectures.

This 16GB DDR4 device is part of Teledyne e2v’s growing portfolio of radiation-tolerant memory products, which includes the 8GB DDR4 variant qualified last year. Doubling the capacity while maintaining the same form factor and pin compatibility, the 16GB version offers seamless integration into next-generation satellite systems without requiring hardware redesign.
The initial qualification confirms the long-term reliability and robustness of the 16GB DDR4 product. It was validated through extensive testing across three statistically significant production lots, ensuring both process consistency and performance reproducibility, critical factors for mission assurance in space environments.
Conducted in accordance with the stringent JESD47 standard, the initial qualification campaign included a comprehensive suite of reliability assessments to simulate the harsh conditions encountered in orbit, verifying the product’s resilience to temperature fluctuations, mechanical stress, and radiation exposure.

Saab’s proposal leverages this proven platform with a suite of cutting-edge sensors and mission systems, offering the Canadian Armed Forces a highly capable, cost-effective, and sovereign solution.
A final notification process to complete the procurement will now follow. The DGA has stated that a contract is expected to be finalised in the coming months. The parties have not yet entered into a contract and Saab has not yet received an order for GlobalEye from France.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract was issued by the U.S. Special Operations Command and has a maximum ceiling of $92 million. It covers the new Medium Range Gas Gun-Assault carbine, including kits, spare parts and accessories, new equipment training, and engineering change proposals.

“Within the New Space industry, some system designers may use COTS sensors and make them fly with no upscreening, which means that they take the risk of any malfunctions or errors further down the line,” explains Céline Semécas, Product Marketing Manager, Teledyne e2v. “Teledyne e2v’s industrial upscreened image sensors are tested for space and are delivered as flight models with lot validation test certificates and radiation test reports.”
The three CMOS sensors will undergo full screening, serialization and lot validation tests. Depending on the mission profile, they are delivered as flight models with two levels of screening, according to U1 (ESCC9020-like) or U3 (NASA Class 3 tailored for image sensors). Devices were sampled and have been through radiation characterization in specialized facilities, including testing for Single Event Latch-up (SEL), Single Event Effect (SEE), and Single Event Functional Interrupt (SEFI) malfunctions or errors. The image sensors feature a broad range of embedded functions, including sub-sampling, multi-region of interest (ROI), defective pixel correction, and high dynamic range capability.
For satellite star trackers and monitoring cameras, the Ruby 1.3M USV is a radiation tolerant 1.3MP (1280 x 1024) global shutter sensor optimized for space systems that are subject to constraints, such as size, weight and power (SWaP) and cost. Housed in a 12.7mm x 12.7mm CLCC packaging, this 5.3µm pixel pitch sensor can fit with cost-effective 1/1.8” lenses, consumes very low (≤200mW) power, and is available in a monochrome or colour version.
The Emerald Gen2 12M USV is a compact 12MP (4096 x 3072) global shutter imaging sensor for monitoring cameras with a 2.8µm pitch, and available in monochrome and colour versions. It features a very low readout noise performance of less than 3 electrons, delivering excellent image quality and the ability to work in high-contrast scenes. It has ROI features, enabling Teledyne e2v to offer an 8.9MP ROI image sensor in the same packaging, allowing space engineers to make even smaller cameras because they can use smaller optics. This sensor also features both LVDS and MIPI outputs, which ease the integration.
The Emerald 67M USV is a 67MP (8192 x 8192) image sensor that features one of the smallest global shutter pixel pitches (2.5µm) on the market. This 8K high-resolution device can cover a large swath for Earth observation and is also suitable for space domain awareness applications, allowing them to cover a large field of view. Emerald 67M USV combines low noise (<3e- @ 12 bits), providing excellent image quality in low light conditions, and up to 65 fps @10 bits, providing sharp images at very high speed. The image sensor can support monochrome or colour video and can be used for multispectral imaging.
Teledyne e2v provides a full range of tools to ease system integration of the CMOS sensors and accelerate time-to-market. These tools include evaluation kits, reference designs, radiation reports and space qualification reports. “With a dedicated support team and quick response times, Teledyne e2v in Grenoble supports space engineers from design concept to system launch,” adds Céline Semécas. “Furthermore, Teledyne e2v is used to managing long-term supplies with applications that require long product life cycles and obsolescence management.”

The three-year Technology for European iNdependence in Space Image Sensor (TENSIS) project will address the EU-based development of advanced CMOS imaging sensors. The project will aim to create a strategic, competitive advantage for European prime and equipment manufacturers and reduce the dependence on critical technologies and capabilities from outside the EU.
The program was launched on 11 February 2025 at an inauguration event in consortium member Teledyne e2v facilities in Saint-Egrève, Grenoble Area, France. It aims to validate a scalable, large-area, high-resolution, radiation tolerant, customizable, and affordable 180nm CMOS detector, with the key technical characteristics of a 24K x 16K stitched CMOS matrix of 400MPixels. A smaller 4K x 4K stitched CMOS array will also be designed and manufactured.
The project comprises several industrial partners, each of whom brings valuable expertise. Teledyne e2v Semiconductors SAS (France) and Teledyne Innovaciones Microelectronicas SL (Spain) will oversee the project, design the detectors, including the pixel, while imec (Belgium) will manage the development of the optical stack on top of the CMOS detector including filters and optical microlenses.
Meanwhile, Airbus Defence and Space SAS (France) will lead the development of the test equipment and assess the performance of the detector prototypes. Alter Technology Tüv Nord (Spain) will validate the smaller 4K x 4K detector for use in the space environment.
“TENSIS will result in the development of advanced image sensors for space that are high-resolution and durable against space conditions,” says Marc Iliozer, Project & Engineering Director at Teledyne e2v. “The project will help establish strategic capability in Europe and ensure independence in space technology for years to come.”
The project will run until 31 December 2027. The 24k x 16k stitched CMOS array is expected to reach Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6, with a prototype sensor tested in a relevant environment. The 4k x 4k CMOS detector will reach TRL7, taking it one step closer to final product development.

Integris, which operates its technical center and major U.S. manufacturing hub at its Licking County facility, accepted FACC Ohio’s invitation as a gold sponsor to help promote the state’s aviation capabilities at the air show.

In just over three decades, Integris Composites has earned tier-one supplier credentials with original equipment manufacturers like Airbus Helicopters and Embraer and prime defense contractors globally and in the United States, ”added David Cordova, chief commercial officer. Recent awards include contracts to armor the U.S. Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft, Boeing’s MH-139 Grey Wolf and QinetiQ for the C-130J.
The Licking County facility in Hebron houses the U.S. technical design and engineering center and manufacturing operations. The company also operates a vehicle design center in Santa Barbara, California, and maintains corporate headquarters in Tysons Corner, Virginia, near the U.S. capital.
Formerly known as TenCate Advanced Armor until 2023, Integris Composites continues to lead in advanced materials and rapid prototyping for defense and sustainability.

A Storied Legacy
“Integris becomes a part of the latest chapter in the storied legacy of utility aircraft, a lineage that traces its roots back to the iconic Vietnam-era ‘Huey’ (UH-1 Iroquois) and the present-day UH-60 Black Hawk, which has faithfully served as the Army’s Utility Tactical Transport Aircraft (UTTAS) since 1979,” said David Cordova, chief commercial officer for Integris, Inc.
“FLRAA is a marvel of engineering that promises to redefine the boundaries of speed, agility, operational versatility/survivability,” Cordova observed.
Advanced Armor from Integris on Land, Water and in the Air
“This is the latest armor contract for Integris in the airborne segment,” added Bonham. “It’s an exceptional achievement for both the Integris organization as well as commercial partners, such as the team at QinetiQ Group plc.”
Cordova said Integris is supporting several other aerospace companies. “We provide armored kits such as the H-125, MH-139 as well as the C-130J this last one, in partnership with QinetiQ. But Integris is also providing high-performance, lightweight, fit-for-purpose composite military armor on the ground and in the water as well as in the air,” said Cordova.

Ballistic protection is primarily implemented in the cockpit walls, engine compartments, cabin and other vulnerable areas of the aircraft. In the cockpit, armor is essential to safeguard pilots against potential attacks, allowing them to maintain control of the aircraft even under fire. Engine compartments are also fortified to prevent catastrophic failures that could result from ballistic impacts.
Johann Basselin, Key Account Manager at Integris, sheds light on the company’s journey and capabilities in this niche market.
The journey of Integris in aerospace began with a pivotal opportunity with Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters). The company needed armor for their new NH90 helicopter, marking the start of Integris’ aerospace division.
“We were selected and started our business with OEM as a Tier 1 supplier. This initial project laid the foundation for Integris to expand its aerospace capabilities and establish a strong presence in the industry,” Basselin recalls.
Integris faced numerous challenges as they adapted to the new aerospace contract requirements. The company had to familiarize itself with a plethora of new documents and standards unique to the aerospace industry. To ensure success, Integris collaborated with a specialized aerospace company in the Netherlands, DC, which provided invaluable support in areas such as integrated logistics support and documentation.
“We needed the support of a specific aerospace company, which assisted us in the beginning. This collaboration was crucial in meeting the high standards required for aerospace projects”, states Mathieu Vilaltella – Aerospace Project Manager.
Since then, Integris has leveraged its past experiences to streamline processes for new projects, This strategy has proven effective, allowing the company to efficiently manage and deliver on aerospace contracts.
The aerospace segment now constitutes a significant portion of Integris’ business.
Integris has provided ballistic protection for various aircraft, starting with the H135 from Airbus Helicopters. The company’s portfolio has expanded to include the NH90, H145, H225M (Super Puma), H175, and potentially the H160 in the future. Additionally, Integris has supplied ballistic protection for Leonardo Helicopters’ platforms such as the AW159, AW101, and AW169, as well as fixed-wing aircraft like the Super Tucano and the KC-390 from Embraer. The company also engages in retrofit business, updating older aircraft with new ballistic protection as needed.
An interesting facet of Integris’ aerospace work is their involvement in civil commercial aircraft protection. Following the events of September 2001, all commercial aircraft must have armor on the cockpit wall. Integris has been selected for the A350, and most A350 aircraft flying worldwide are equipped with their armor.
Basselin expresses optimism for future opportunities, stating, “We are convinced that based on our experience and track record, we will be able to further expand our footprint in the aerospace business segment and supporting customers with new qualifications on different platforms “
Integris’ aerospace capabilities are a testament to their ability to adapt and thrive in a complex and demanding defence industry. Their expertise and strategic collaborations have positioned them as a reliable partner in the aerospace sector, continuously pushing the boundaries of what is possible in ballistic protection for aircraft.
“This event signifies the culmination of a nine-year journey,” said Andrew Bonham, president of Integris Composites, Inc. “Our European business was previously established as a global aerospace supplier. In 2015, our U.S. management team set the goal of attaining Tier One supplier status with OEM aviation companies and U.S. Department of Defense decision-makers. By 2017, we achieved AS9100 certification, a vital credential for aerospace companies, ensuring compliance with stringent quality and safety standards,” Bonham explained.
“Then in 2018, Boeing awarded us a contract to develop and engineer the MH-139A armor system. Development, design, and qualification work with Boeing, and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation aircraft with the Air Force followed. Now, thanks to a follow-on contract with Boeing, we are manufacturing the armor kits for the production aircraft,” explained David Cordova, chief commercial officer.
Integris Composites, Inc. has become a credentialed Tier One supplier to aerospace original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and prime defense contractors. “Besides Boeing, we have contracts with Bell Flight, Airbus, Velocity Systems, QinetiQ, Battelle Memorial Institute, Mack Defense, American Rheinmetall Vehicles, and the Air Force Institute of Technology,” said Cordova.
“Achieving Tier One aerospace supplier status enhances our already strong business and solidifies our reputation as a trusted provider of ballistic armor systems for vehicles, aviation, and personnel. These systems offer critical protection for personnel operating in hostile environments such as warfighters, tactical security personnel and elite law enforcement units,” Cordova continued.
“Integris Composites produces the most advanced strength-to-weight-ratio in armor for military organizations throughout the world,” Cordova continued. Last year Integris Composites became the new name for TenCate Advanced Armour, a global company founded in Europe 30 years ago this year.
