The National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL) recognizes Heitham Hassoun, MD, chief executive of Cedars-Sinai International, with its 2024 International Healthcare Leadership Award. The award celebrates his leadership in expanding Cedars-Sinai’s international partnerships, patient services programs, and academic collaborations across multiple countries. He is honored during the Gail L. Warden Leadership Excellence Award Celebration in Chicago.
Since joining Cedars-Sinai in 2018, Dr. Hassoun plays a central role in extending the organization’s global healthcare impact, including guiding its first international partnership in Qatar and leading initiatives in regions such as China, Ecuador, Indonesia, South Korea, and the UAE. In addition to his executive leadership, he serves as a professor of Surgery and contributes to efforts focused on international patient care, health system partnerships, and humanitarian initiatives.
