SONARtrac® digital Flow and Entrained Air Measurement System
The SONARtrac digital clamp-on, non-contact system allows for on-line, real-time measurement of the volumetric flow in difficult to measure slurries and fluids; and the amount of entrained air present in any liquid, continuous-phase process flow. The system also provides a measurement of only the liquid portion of the flow by compensating for the amount of entrained air in the process line.

SONARtrac® Flow & Entrained Air Measurement
CiDRA Minerals Processing
CiDRA’s line of SONARtrac flow meters is a breakthrough in flow measurement technology. Our passive sonar flow meters provide accurate and reliable flow measurements for a wide range of applications and industries. Over the years, our family of SONARtrac systems has evolved to include a variety of flow meters designed to measure single and multiphase flows from water to highly aggressive slurries. Due to their non-contact design, our sonar flow meters do not have any moving parts or process wetted parts that are subject to wear, or inherent drift mechanisms. Instead, they install easily on the outside of any type of pipe and provide years of service with no maintenance required.
CYCLONEtrac Particle Size Tracking (PST)
CiDRA Minerals Processing
The CYCLONEtrac Particle Size Tracking (PST) system provides real-time feedback of grind circuit and individual hydrocyclone performance. The technology's value lies in its ability to track the particle size of the entire overflow stream from a hydrocyclone battery based on the contribution from each individual hydrocyclone. This enables real-time closed-circuit grind control strategies targeting improved mineral recovery, increased grind efficiency, while maintaining or increasing plant throughput.

Description
SONARtrac digital measurement systems employ patented sonar array processing techniques to listen to, and interpret, flow turbulence and sound fields generated by the machinery, piping and process flow. This passive listening approach results in measurement of the flow rate and amount of entrained air with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability without contacting the process fluid.
