The L Series comes with frames in various lengths to accommodate a variety of module combinations. The frames range from a basic frame with just 2 side rails and 2 end caps, to more complex versions with jackscrews, backshells, cable clamps, etc.

We have taken the standard housing configuration of the P1 & P3 mounting dimensions while incorporating true differential pair contacts within the P1 & P3 dimensional constraints. P1 connector housing contains 21 position true differential pair blind mate contacts allowing board designers to carry high density differential pair signals from the LRU via motherboard to daughter-card plug in modules with a single connector P1 type housing.

B Series incorporates the highly reliability Hypertac® hyperboloid contact which provides optimum performance in harsh conditions such as extreme mechanical shock and high mating cycles.

Today, space satellites are moving away from RF Analog based payloads providing low speed telecommunication signaling, to a new Digital Transparent Processor architecture for high throughput satellites. Those architectures increase the demand for rugged and higher speed connectivity.

HyperStac RX Series is a Z axis interconnection solution designed for all types of micro-electronics applications requiring reliable and compact packaging solutions. The Hyperstac RX Series meets the needs of the Defence, Avionics and Space electronics applications.

Smiths Interconnect’s spring probes are compliant which makes them ideal for blind mate applications as they self correct for x, y, z, rotational and angular misalignment of the target. High reliability KA series MIL-DTL-55302 compliant connectors offer signal contacts designed for demanding defense, commercial aerospace and space applications. The 2 and 3 row series are compliant to MIL-DTL-55302 and offer flexibility not available with other interconnects. The 4 and 5 row versions are also available and offer up to 490 contacts.

The Fibre Channel D-sub connector series features a multi-finger ground spring fixed around the shell provides a multi-point contact engagement that affords superior EMI shielding. The end result is extremely low contact resistance when measured from the contact outer body to the connector flange. The Fibre Channel D-Sub series also delivers superior performance ensuring minimal RF noise and high durability up to 1,000 mating cycles, while meeting and surpassing all requirements of MIL-STD-202 for shock and vibration.

Offered with 150 Ohm quadrax contacts, the connectors are available with 2, 4, 6 or 8 way insert arrangements. Additionally, D-Sub connectors feature ease of assembly, and a robust and comprehensive training package. To ensure that the correct high speed connectors are mated to address specific wiring requirements and keying functions, a keyed jack post option has been incorporated into the design. MDCX, multipin coax connectors, offer low VSWR of 1.25:1 (typ) up to 10 GHz (max mated pair), maximum overall diameter of 0.125" fitted into low-profile micro-D housing, with constant 50 Ohm airline impedance. MDCX coaxial contacts are compact in size allowing multiple high density connections in a Micro-D style shell for applications where space and weight savings are important. No cumbersome spring mounts are required. These connectors are also available with locking post mechanisms or blindmate hardware attachment.

Based on the KN series MIL-DTL-55302 compliant connectors an ESA version of the KNB/KNC connectors has been created, which also offers signal contacts designed for demanding defense, commercial aerospace and space applications. They also are available in the 2 and 3 row series and offer flexibility not available with other interconnects.

Spring loaded High Frequency Micro-D Coax Connectors (MDHC) offer low VSWR up to 40 GHz (typ). These connectors have a constant 50 ohm airline impedance interface and are 30% smaller than our SCX coaxial connectors.

HPH series is a high density interconnect available up to 303 contacts with multiple hardware choices and backpotting option.With a 0.6mm contact diameter, the HPH Series comes in 3-6 row configurations and is available up to 303 signal contacts on a 1.901mm staggered grid. Contacts are removable for ease of maintenance.

Versatile, high density 4 contact row connector solution for board to board and wire to board with built in coding and keying as well as ESA qualification. With a 0.6mm contact diameter, CMD connectors are available from 42 to 316 contact positions with dip solder and SMT soldering contact termination types.
