Torque Transducers
Vibrac Precision Test Systems
The transducers use encoder-type discs to shutter light proportionally to the angular displacement of a torsion bar. This light is then converted by high-output photocells into a current that is likewise proportional to the torque. This methodology provides for the manufacture of both dynamic and static non-contacting transducers with relatively low inertia for any given torque range. The high output current of these optical transducers results in a noise-free signal in an electrically noisy environment. Vibrac® provides Torque Transducers for both static and dynamic applications, which cover the range from 0.05 oz-in to 400 in-lbs.
Torque Inspector
Vibrac Precision Test Systems
The Vibrac Torque Inspector is a highly-versatile platform designed to test a variety of force/power transmission products like actuators, gear boxes, and motors. This precision torque testing system can examine even the slightest malfunctions, hesitations, resistances, flaws or contaminations in rotational force applications. This system has been designed to test components going onto rockets, satellites, drones, rovers, and in-orbit telescopes. Our system provides confidence that your rotational components are to spec and functioning properly.
3500 Bearing Inspector
Vibrac Precision Test Systems
The 3500 Bearing Inspector is for measuring the torque characteristics of anti-friction bearings and bearing assemblies. The system contains a magnetic high-resolution encoder and a variable speed drive with 100% custom tooling. This design enables the system to rotate the bearing at a constant speed (0.5 to 10 rpm) while measuring torque.

Description
Designed to meet the US MIL-STD-206B, the system includes a specialized computer control station, a bearing test head for operating at LOW SPEED with HIGH-RESOLUTION, custom Windows 11 control software platform for performing tests and processing the results, a granite anti-vibration table with air-balancing, bearing tooling for properly securing the inner and outer race, an array of highly sensitive and high-resolution torque transducers to cover a wide range of bearing types and sizes. It measures both starting torque and running torque within the same system, with the same tooling and in the same test cycle.
