LIAA helps companies grow, from a good and promising idea to world-class recognition in export markets. We offer the services offered by the agency to those looking for sales markets abroad – to establish new contacts at trade missions, national stands, contact exchanges, individual visits and attend export seminars. LIAA's network of foreign economic representations helps to build cooperation with foreign companies, as well as serves as a bridge to the markets of other countries. Representations operate in the United States, Austria, Australia, Denmark, South Korea, France, Italy, Japan, Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Germany and Sweden. In turn, Latvian innovation and technology representations have been established in Brussels, Switzerland and Israel. In the field of investment attraction, LIAA promotes the development of regulatory enactments favorable to business development, as well as advocates for a stable tax policy, the availability of qualified labor, infrastructure and support instruments. Our mission is to promote the development of innovative products by supporting startups and science commercialization projects. We worked to promote smart specialization in the Latvian economy – the creation of products and services with high added value. LIAA also cares about the image of the Latvian state and the attractiveness of Latvia's tourism offer abroad.
