The relationship between Korea and Mexico, which began way back in 1905 when 1,033 of our ancestors arrived in Mexico, symbolically demonstrates the special significance of the relationship between the two countries. Since the conclusion of diplomatic relations in 1962, leaving behind the discontinued relationship, the two countries have made remarkable progress in diverse fields such as politics, economics, and culture over the past 60 years, which continues to expand daily.

As Korea is Mexico's third-largest trading partner, and Mexico is Korea's largest trading partner with Latin America, the Korean Embassy will strive to strengthen the institutional foundation to expand substantive cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, improve market entry conditions for Korean companies, and support them in resolving the problems they face.

Furthermore, as interest in K-pop, Korean dramas and films, and Korean food is spreading in Mexico, we will actively carry out cultural and public diplomacy activities taking advantage of this opportune environment.

This Diplomatic Mission will continue working to ensure the security and interests of the Korean diaspora in Mexico, as well as to consolidate the identity of Korean descendants .
