The industry supports over 45,000 jobs and generates $6 billion-plus in economic activity annually, according to the Aerospace Industries Association.

How Airbus is going wheels up in Alabama with A220 production | Made in Alabama: Alabama Department of Commerce
The work on Airbus' Mobile campus is strategically significant because it will allow the company to produce a second aircraft type in Alabama - the single-aisle A220 passenger jet. At the same time, Airbus is expanding its original A320 assembly line to accommodate a production ramp-up to six aircraft a month, up from four today.

Northrop Grumman opens Huntsville facility for next-gen missile work
Falls Church, Virginia-based Northrop Grumman is adding approximately 500 jobs, with hiring already under way, as part of its growth plans in Huntsville. The company now has more than 2,000 employees in Alabama supporting numerous Department of Defense and NASA missions.
