Gasket
RCF Technologies
Customized gaskets designed to meet specific customer needs are an integral part of RCF’s expertise. These include shim gaskets and single-fastener fire wall plumbing.
Our shim gasket offers solutions to applications with narrow gaps, high pressures, many bolt holes, or any other situation causing extrusion or blow out for gaskets. Rishon® may be used to replace brittle materials such as graphite and graphoil, as well as high temperature materials like asbestos. By using a 1–10 mm shim faced with a single ply of Rishon brand material on either side, no extrusion or blow out is possible. In effect, it has the strength of a metal gasket but the sealing properties of rubber.
Another specialty gasket offered by RCF is our single-fastener gasket used for plumbing firewalls. The overlapped split gives the user a completely fireproof seal while allowing easy access to the wire bundles or tubes being used. Single-fastener access minimizes not only weight, but also reduces installation and removal labor by more than half.

RCF seals demonstrate a host of unique properties that benefit a wide range of industrial applications, including:
Broad operational temperature range. Rishon seals are especially suited to high-temperature applications. The material is fully compatible with operating temperatures ranging from -170°F to +850°F while demonstrating little to no thermal changes. These qualities allow users to maintain operation in extreme environments.
Rishon material meets Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards for fire barriers in thicknesses as low as .027 inches. Additionally, it fulfills all Advisory Circular 20-135 criteria for up to 15 minutes of direct contact with 2000°F flames.
Chemical compatibility. Rishon material maintains its integrity after exposure to a wide array of chemicals, such as diesel, jet fuel, and other fluids typical of aircraft applications.
Heat and flame insulation. Rishon seals serve as effective heat and flame insulators in material thicknesses as low as .050 inches.
Electrical conductivity/non–conductivity. Rishon seals are non-conductive, making them ideal for use in critical aerospace and engine applications. Rishon seals can also be designed to be electrically conductive with almost no additional weight.

At RCF Technologies, we specialize in lightweight, high-performance couplings made from metal. The advantages of using RCF Technologies products include:
Easy installation. Each coupling can be installed without tools. Clients can choose between snap ring closures and straight sleeve couplings
More flexibility. Each coupling offers a 5° misalignment capability per side, which is greater than the 3° standard in the industry.
More material options. Customers can choose between aluminum, 17-7 stainless steel, and titanium couplings. Couplings can also have customized sizes, lengths, latch types, and configurations.
Simple design. Each coupling has two end caps, two seals, two split rings, and the housing, providing a full assembly.

RCF Technologies
One quarter inch of RCF insulation made from our proprietary Rishon material outperforms one inch of standard aerospace insulation. RCF Insulation has been used to protect avionics, to insulate nacelles and as insulation for metal connectors.

Inflatable, Reusable High Temp Bladder
RCF Technologies
RCF Technologies has developed reusable, inflatable, high temp bladders and vacuum bags made from Rishon® material.
Rishon is our proprietary high temp silicone-based material. Rishon products can sustain operating temperatures up to 850ºF, can provide insulation against heat and flame in thicknesses as low as .050", exhibits exceptional thermal properties, can withstand high pressures, and is flexible and robust. Unlike traditional methods and materials used during the thermoplastic manufacturing process, Rishon will meet the requirements without compromising its structural integrity over numerous cycles.
